After Banishing Cordelia

My own daughter has forsaken me! How dare she not love me! I have given her everything, and she still has nothing to say to me, not even giving me the slightest love in return. The King of France can have her for all I care, as long as he has no desire for my kingdom. Even my most loyal subject, Kent, has decided to go against me to side with her. At least I still have my Fool and knights to keep me company. Unlike the rest of my court they have stayed loyal to me as I have given away my kingdom, unlike my treacherous daughter.

All I wanted was to grow old as she take cares of me, but now I guess now my older daughter's must do. I know! Since I am unable to stay with Cordelia as planned, I shall spend alternate between living with Goneril and Regan, allowing me to spend the most time with each daughter. Surely my other daughters cannot be as unfilial as Cordelia, and shall stick with me as I give them my kingdom. They, at the very least, have proven their love to me, so there is no way they will betray me like Cordelia.
